Rich Fink was a dedicated and accomplished geologist, licensed in California and a Certified Engineering Geologist. Throughout his career at Provost & Pritchard, he made significant contributions as a principal geologist, specializing in the assessment and remediation of contaminated sites. His expertise extended to addressing dry cleaner sites, a major concern in recent decades, while also being highly knowledgeable in seismic and geotechnical investigations. Rich’s academic journey began with a BS in Earth Science from UC Santa Cruz in 1976, followed by an MS degree in geology from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1979. His legacy in the field of geology continues to inspire those who knew and worked with him.
Rich Fink was a co-founder of the San Joaquin Chapter of AEG. The Rich Fink Memorial Scholarship was started shortly after his passing.
